DR2028 source guide. This page explains where to find official audit data. All figures and reports referenced live on the institution's own systems — DR2028 reproduces none of them as its own.
What it is
The Cámara de Cuentas de la República Dominicana (Chamber of Accounts) is the constitutional body charged with auditing public funds — the country's supreme audit institution. Its audit reports examine how ministries, municipalities, and decentralized entities spent public money, and its findings feed corruption prosecutions.
Where the data lives
Audit reports are published through the Chamber's official portal: camaradecuentas.gob.do. Look for the audit reports (informes de auditoría) section, organized by audited entity and fiscal period.
DR2028 analysis
DR2028's anti-corruption and public-sector accountability decrees cite the categories of findings the Chamber repeatedly documents — unexecuted budgets, unsupported expenditures, procurement bypasses — as the empirical basis for mandatory transparency enforcement. When we reference a specific audit, we name the report, the entity, and the period so any reader can pull the same document from the portal above.
