Subject: National Minimum Starting Salary Wage for All Dominican Citizens
Article 1:
The Government of the Dominican Republic hereby establishes a new National Minimum Starting Salary Wage for all Dominican citizens. The minimum wage shall be set at RD$30,000 per month, effective immediately upon the publication of this decree.
Article 2:
This decree applies to all employment sectors across the Dominican Republic, including but not limited to:
- Public sector workers
- Private sector employees
- Industrial and agricultural workers
- Service and tourism industry staff
- Hospitality, retail, and small business employees
Article 3:
The objective of this decree is to ensure every citizen has improved access to:
- Safe and adequate housing
- Nutritious meals
- Quality medical care
- Education
- Transportation and public services
- And all other essential needs for a dignified life
Article 4:
The Ministry of Labor shall oversee the full enforcement of this decree, ensuring compliance across all sectors. Employers who fail to adhere to this minimum wage policy will face legal consequences, including but not limited to financial penalties, suspension of operating licenses, and further administrative actions as deemed necessary.

This decree serves as a core pillar of the administration’s commitment to fostering social justice, economic opportunity, and a brighter future for all Dominican families.
